Only the smart Republicans who have their heads screwed on good and tight support the President's efforts to defend the Homeland by taking the war to the enemy where HE lives. The same kind of lala-land liberals and left-wingnuts who honchoed the undermining of the Vietnam War, a war in which I served, are now repeating their strident, inane calls for victory--for the enemy. When do you people learn? Appeasement doesn't work. You can't negotiate with terrorists. War causes death, dismemberment and destruction; always has, always will. We can't hide behind our two oceans in today's world. The islamo-fascists want to kill you and me and our families any way they can, and they will if we let them. It's a mean old world out there, dude, and all the good intentions, sensitivity training and pounding of swords into plowshares don't mean didley-squat to killers and thugs like al-Zarqawi, bin Laden, Ahmedinejahd and al-Zawarhiri. We're at war with these 7th century cretins, and that means we MUST win. And today's Congressional vote says to the cut and run crowd and the silly Cindy Sheehan types, the USA is gonna win this damned war with or without you people.
