Rudy in Ohio to Support Blackwell
Submitted by jamesrhodes on September 9, 2006 - 11:32am. RepublicansViking Spirit linked to Rudy Giuliani's visit to support Ken Blackwell yesterday. I have family in NYC, and Rudy did an excellent job cleaning that city up. Many people have no idea how awful that city was before he was in office.
Lt. Gov Johnson in Texas during OSU Game for "Business"
Submitted by conservativeguy on September 9, 2006 - 7:03pm. Democratsfrom the Akron Journal:
Lt. Gov. Bruce Johnson scheduled a trade mission to Austin, Texas, to coincide with Saturday's football game between the No. 1-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes and No. 2 Texas Longhorns, costing taxpayers $4,321.
The amount includes $1,055 for Johnson's airfare to Texas and back and $2,439 in airfare and hotel bills for two State Highway Patrol officers who accompanied him. Johnson, however, was expected to pay for his game ticket and hotel accommodations for two nights.
Johnson, spokesman for the socialist 2005 Third Frontier bond issue and for the job-killing CAT Tax, claims he is in Texas to attract business to the state with the 3rd highest tax burden (Ohio). I'm calling BS on this.
But regardless, GO BUCKEYES!
