Submitted by rightangle on September 4, 2006 - 10:09am. generalTed Strickland wins if he can win 80% of the African American voteKen Blackwell wins if he can get 85% of the Republican vote.Instead of going after independents it seems like the campaigns should go after their bases instead. Similar to the 2004 Prez race.
Rep. Tiberi Responds
Submitted by rightangle on September 4, 2006 - 5:22pm. generalFrom his site
"My position on the decision to remove Saddam Hussein from power, fight terrorism abroad, and work to foster democracy in the Middle East has not changed. I supported the authorization for use of military force against Iraq because, like the CIA, British Intelligence, Israeli government, and many Democrats in Congress, I believed Iraq posed a threat to our national security. I remain committed to our mission in Iraq.
"I have not called on Secretary Rumsfeld to resign or urged the president to remove him. Since December of 2005 I have stated publicly that I believe we need new leadership in the Pentagon. I believe this president can be better served. However, the defense secretary serves at the pleasure of the president - he makes the call. I continue to support the president's authority in this matter."
