Was the federal line-item veto the keystone of his platform like TEL? No. Did he say he'd favor a strong line-item veto in the constitution only to replace it with a weaker, non-enforceable statute? No.

This is as petty as Blackwell saying that Strickland is taking his veterans platform simply because they both want to make a Cabinet-level position. Never mind that Strickland's proposals actual give more tax benefits and help to veterans than Blackwell's empty record of rhetoric.
