I know where Jim Petro Will Be on Sept. 5!
From The Enquirer:
Hillary Clinton, the front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination, will make her first campaign visit to Cincinnati on Sept. 5.
Clinton will head for the same venue that brought her husband, former President Bill Clinton, here in March - the Indian Hill home of lawyer Stan Chesley, who raised millions for the former president and the Democratic National Committee in the 1990s.
It will be a private evening event by invitation, with a price tag of $2,300 a ticket - the maximum allowed by federal law.
When the former president came in March, the event raised $400,000, according to Chesley, with much of the money coming from out-of-town donors.
At this point, there are no public events on Hillary Clinton’s schedule.
Chesley could not be reached for comment Thursday, but in a letter to members of the Clinton event’s host committee, he said the ticket price would be $2,300 - the maximum allowed by federal law for the primary campaign.
Jim Petro works for Stan Chesley, and Stan received plenty of contracts from the AG’s office in exchange for campaign contributions back when Jim held that position.
I don’t think its a big deal that the former AG Petro will be at Senator Clintons fundraiser. Petro works for Chesley. I am sure he is not supporting Hillary, and will support whoever the GOP puts on the ticket in 2008.
