Lt. Gov Fisher Can No Longer Practice Law

From James Nash in The Dispatch:

More than 1,100 lawyers, including eight judges and two top lieutenants to Gov. Ted Strickland, no longer are able to practice law because they failed to renew their registration with the Ohio Supreme Court, the court said yesterday.

The lawyers won’t be suspended until Dec. 1, but their failure to pay their $350 registration fee by Sept. 1 means they are not in good standing to practice law, court spokesman Chris Davey said. To regain their standing, they’ll need to pay the registration fee and a $50 late fee by Nov. 30.

Among the scofflaws are Lt. Gov. Lee Fisher and Strickland’s chief of staff, John Haseley.

I don’t know what’s so hard about sending in the registration on time.
