OH-5: Bob Latta Gets Tough on Illegal Immigration
If a candidate really wants to take a solid position against illegal immigration, I would like them to talk about the faulty readings of the 14th Amendment and the foolishness of giving citizenship to children simply because their parents managed to sneak across the boarder. But this is still a hard-hitting ad, and we need more Republicans to stand up to the party’s elite pro-open-borders establishment.
Speaking of tv ads - it’s hard for me to feel sorry for Latta over this one:
Weirauch ads use ‘Coingate’ figure against rival Latta

Given that the Bush administration virtually shut down enforcement against employers until 2006, and generally failed to enforce immigration laws until there was an uproar, the question is…
….will Latta criticize Bush?
Of course not.
Bush wants more illegals to depress blue collar wages. And look what the results are.
That is a silly argument. I am all for building a fence and enforcing the immigration laws, but depressing wages is the goal? Once again, you prove how ignorant you are of economics.
Rusty,
Bush ain’t on the ballot anymore
So you’ll need to do something about your BDS, Bush Derangement Syndrome.
Dragging down wages IS the elites’ immigration agenda. The conservative Wall Street Journal puts out editorial after editorial begging that the workers be allowed to stay for the economy’s sake. The fence is being built to keep the illegals in, not keep more out.
Here’s the solution, throw some CEOs in jail who illegally employ workers and the situation will all work out quickly. The Northern Migration will be put in reverse and wages will go up for meat packers, construction workers, and ag jobs. I heard Pat Tiberi asked if he supports jail terms for illegal employers on a radio show and you wouldn’t believe all the stuttering and stammering that came out of his piehole.
Mmm nothing like some good ole’ fashioned fear-mongering to bring out the racist in all of us…
