Elections officials in large and small Ohio counties say they can't count all their absentee ballots in time to provide results on Election Day, unless they can start scanning them days earlier.

But the secretary of state's office has told Cuyahoga and Lucas counties, which asked for advice, that state law does not allow counting absentee ballots before 12:01 a.m. Election Day.

If the counties cannot begin early, Ohioans could go to bed without knowing the results of close and, even, not-so-close races.

Columbus -- With polls showing him so far behind that he could drag the entire Republican ticket down to defeat, Secretary of State Ken Blackwell launched an attack last week that took political discourse in Ohio to unplumbed depths.

In the last of four debates, Blackwell accused his Democratic rival for governor, Rep. Ted Strickland, of covering up for a campaign staff member who exposed himself to children and supporting the platform of NAMBLA, the North American Man/Boy Love Association.

By the week's end, the allegations had become more bizarre and outlandish.

What is unplumbed?

WMD blog brought to my attention a new website was launched by some group of racists in Cleveland:

It looks like Democrats, who preach about racial sensitive and affirmative action, created a rather sophisticated website to promote their bigotry.

Because Ken Blackwell is black, is he, and other blacks, required to "slavishly" support the Democrat party?

It is also interesting that they used Sam "spearchucker" Fulwood's column on the top of that racist website. I wonder if Sam approves of this digusting website?

And even more interesting, is that Blacks against Blackwell actually answer their phone, as "Blacks against Blackwell." The phone number to this racist group is:

According to their domain registration whois information, they are supposedly located at 2680 North Moreland Blvd. Cleveland, Ohio 44120.
