The Final Weekend Before Election Day: Get Involved!
This is the last weekend before election day. And if you are a Republican activist who wants to get involved, please do so immediately!
If you live in the 5th District, I would STRONGLY encourage you to contact Steve Buehrer’s campaign. Unlike Steve’s RINO opponent, Steve voted against Bob Taft’s massive sales tax increase and Steve is a principled, anti-pork Republican that we could all be proud of in Washington. Visit his website to volunteer.
And if you live in or near Canton, I can’t stress enough how important the Canton city Mayor’s race is. Janet Creighton is Ohio’s only Republican big city mayor, and the race is close. Visit her website here.
And if you live in the Central-Ohio Franklin County area, the Franklin County GOP needs your help. Click here for their flier about door to door events (I will be there volunteering.) It is especially important to help out Columbus mayoral candidate Bill Todd and city council candidate Heidi Samuel.
Here are three other important races for Republicans which, if you live in the area, should consider volunteering for:
Chillicothe - Diane Carnes for Mayor
Dover - Re-Elect Rick Homrighausen as Mayor
Mansfield - Doug Versaw for Mayor
Also, if you live in Rocky River, please volunteer for Joe Kotoch. I’ve explained, in detail, why this city council race is part of the larger fight of good vs. evil in the Cuyahoga County GOP. And if you haven’t heard what corrupt Chairman Robert Frost and his thugs have been up to, make sure to read King’s blog.
Tax Issues: If you live in the Cincinnati area, COAST is doing an excellent job fighting a sales tax increase which is endorsed by the County GOP but I’m assuming they could always use volunteers. And on the other side of the state in Lorain County, Amhrest City Councilman Nick Brusky, the person who is largely responsible for giving Lorain County voters the ability to vote on a Democrat-sponsored county sales tax increase, could also probably use volunteers.
And what’s the most important election in Ohio? You guessed it! The re-election campaign of Chris Valentine for Dublin School Board (Just kidding… But Chris is a good guy and serves Dublin Schools well. And I’m no longer sore that he defeated me in an OSU College Republicans officers election a few years ago by 1 vote. Good luck, Chris!):
