Behold, the Glory of Ted Strickland’s Turnaround Ohio Plan!

From the AP:

One year after his election as governor _ in large part on promises of reforming the state’s way of funding public schools _ Democrat Ted Strickland has yet to move on the issue.

Remember, during the 2006 campaign, Gov. Ted said education was his “number 1 priority” and that he would consider himself a failure if he doesn’t fix Ohio’s public education system.

It is pretty obvious that Strickland never had a legitimate plan to fix the problems with our education system. All the people that Strickland claimed to represent are the ones feeling the brunt of his empty soundbyte promises.

I think we should stop focusing on proposals and plans that politicians have failed to carry out. Yes, he didn’t “fix” the Ohio public education system. But let’s look at President Bush’s assurance of “Mission Accomplished” in May of 2003 in reference to the War on Iraq. A little more than two years later, apparently the mission was not accomplished, as the President announced that the White House had generated a “Strategy for Victory.” Well, about four and a half years after the start of the war, little has been accomplished and the United States does not seem to be victorious. Bottom line is that players of both parties use propaganda-driven rhetoric to gain support.

I just realized something. When you turn all the way around, you are back where you started from.

    Thanks Mr. Governor.

Nothing of any consequence is going to get done until the ‘08 election. Hillary doesn’t want this putz screwing anything up or even rankling any feathers of the sheeple that voted for him. He’s gone a year without doing anything and no one seemed to care - especially the Media - another year will be easy because the general election race will dominate. In Jan. of ‘09, once Hillary wins Ohio, expect sweeping socialist proposals of everything from health care to education to higher taxes. Once his DNC puppet masters have no use for Gov. Mulligan anymore, he will be freed to do whatever he wants - as they promised.

You need to cut the Governor some slack. How can the man get anything done when Jon Husted is still hugging him?
