One Columbus Dispatch Employee Speaks Out Against His Own Paper’s Reporting
Both of these comments on RAB are from the same Columbus Dispatch office IP address, and I’m assuming they didn’t originate from Mr. Wolfe’s laptop:
Mrs. Santana: struggling young woman, husband locked up, vulnerable, close ties with the Coleman family. Perfect opportunity for the Mayor to lend a helping hand. Sure, he just wanted to help her get back on her feet. Who is he kidding?
While a lot of people know the “real” Mike Coleman, everyone should know him too.The media needs to step up to the plate. They like to expose the evil going on in the world and this story is ripe for the taking. Talk Mrs. Santana and with Nikki Jenkins. Let’s hear what they and others hiding in the woodwork have to say about being “friends” with Michael Coleman.
I know Mike Coleman well. I know that he loves the city of Columbus and I know he loves the ladies. I feel extremely sorry for his wife not just because of her drinking problem but that it was probably caused by Mike’s infidelity. This isn’t something that started recently, but many years ago.
Having many politician friends, I know how women flock to them and a lot can’t resist them. A man like Mike, who’s in control of such a large city, thinks he’s God’s gift to women. His children not only have to deal with a mother who’s an alcoholic but a father who’s infidelity feeds his family’s disfunction.
While a man with or with out morals shouldn’t dictate our decision in representing and leading our city, the truth should be unveiled and no media outlet should do the people of Columbus the injustice of not publishing the truth. No matter how much campaign money has traded hands!
Mike, if you are reading this website be honest with yourself, your family, and the people of Columbus. You’ve shown us one side of you and we are not getting the whole story.
As far as the campaign expenditures go, I know for a fact they were not all for “business.” Maybe an internal investigation of city expenses should be in order.

While I DO NOT trust the owner/management of the Dispatch (Wolfe’s $8,000 campaign contribution to Coleman) , I have to tip my hat to the reporters for their attempt to expose the truth about Mike Coleman. Now, why do people keep asking questions about Nikki Jenkins? I googled her and she is a City Employee who has bounced around from department to department and who wrote a very exotic book. What is her personal relationship to the Mayor? Am I allowed to ask that question? Someone once told me that they saw the Mayor and Nikki Jenkins together at Due Amici. The Mayor and a drug dealer and now questions regarding a city employee named Nikki Jenkins, what the hell is going on at City Hall?
To the above poster: Matt’s scoops are the reason why the Dispatch reporters ran their stories on Coleman over the last week. Don’t give THEM any credit! Whoever wrote these posts from inside the Dispatch (can’t we have just a hint as to who it might be?) really should walk over to the AP or NBC or wherever and give somebody in the MSM the real story (or will nobody run these stories?).
In regards to the mysterious Nikki Jenkins, I was at the Spice Bar this summer when she had her book signing. Guess who was there? I have never liked his politics or his arrogance, but I don’t think you can imagine how sleazy Coleman is until you see him drunk in person surrounded by bodyguards.
This guy has got to go. Makes me sick. Keep up the good work Matt. Anything else coming up?
Interesting post Phil. I have heard rumors for years about Mayor Coleman, but you actually saw him drunk at a bar where Nikki Jenkins was? Shame on you Mayor. Was your wife still in rehab when you were drinking at Spice Bar? Why does this guy always get a pass from the Dispatch? The Dispatch paints Mayor Mike as a perfect model Mayor. What a freaking joke. Hey John Wolfe, this kind of crap is why we continue to unsubscribe to your “newspaper.” Do you want to sell papers?? Here is a novel concept, print the freaking TRUTH and maybe we will come back, but then again, maybe not… we have been burned too many times by you. Your Paper can say it printed this story prior to election, but that is just a CYA. This should have been a blazing front page story 2 months ago. What a travesty.
By the way, didn’t Mayor Mike’s house also burn down TWICE?? Whose house burns down TWICE? This is embarassing. Columbus is one of the biggest cities in the nation and we have this clown as our Mayor? Shameful. Time for a change people.
