Nathan Burd Campaign Update & His Opponent’s Pro-Abortion Record
Disclaimer: Nathan Burd advertises on RAB, but I supported his campaign before he probably knew what RAB was. And just the fact that Nate is one of the few candidates in Ohio endorsed by the Family First Pac should tell you that he has solid conservative credentials.
This email is from his campaign about the Franklin County GOP screening committee making a rare duel endorsement:
Dear Friends and Supporters,Earlier tonight, I screened with the Franklin County Legislative Screening Committee to try to earn their recommendation for endorsement for my campaign for State Representative in the 19th District. As you know, this endorsement is very important.
I’m pleased to announce that the committee did recommend me for endorsement. That’s a great victory for my campaign! However, the committee also recommended the endorsement of my opponent, Brad Lewis. I’ve been told that this has never happened before, so we’re a little unsure how take the news!
This is an unusual move for the Franklin County GOP, but its clearly a victory for Nathan to receive a duel endorsement.
There has been a rumor that Brad Lewis has always been pro-abortion. Now, the rumor has been confirmed with this 1996 letter from Republicans for Choice…. Nate Burd’s opponent is listed on their advisory board:

The Republican Party is the political party that is supposed to stand for and promote a culture of life. Brad Lewis clearly disagrees with this principle, and has been quite open about his support for the murder of innocent unborn children. The 19th District is a relatively safe conservative/Republican district, and the Republican party would not be wise to support Lewis, who is clearly out of touch with Republican values.
I haven’t heard him it say it yet, but I expect that he will proclaim some sort of “election year conversion” on the abortion issue.
On Wednesday, the Franklin County GOP central committee should take this letter into serious consideration when deciding which candidate truly supports Republican principles.
