It is great news to know that Bob Latta will be facing off with Robin. Can you imagine if Steve Buehrer had a chance to negative campaign against Robin. He Matthew are you going to begin supporting Bob Latta.
I like the Club for Growth, but I sometimes question quests like this. The money could have been better spent supporting someone like Sununu in a tough race against a pretty liberal person, rather than a battle where the GOP is going to win regardless. And, they end up damaging the GOP person in a way that could affect them in the general.
Joe from UCLA, I think they always fight the good fight and provide valuable resources to supply side, anti-pork candidates. they are just about the only interest group i can think of which promotes the general interest, instead of special interest.
Regardless, this race is over and Latta is the superior candidate in November.
I can’t disagree with Matthew. Club for Growth is effective and does what its members want time and time again. Could their money be spent better elsewhere, in my opinion yes, but that’s not what the group is about or what their members want. You can’t fault them for having an agenda and carrying it out consistently.
The only way the D’s win this seat is for all of us to keep fighting. I say we put this fight on hold until after Dec. 11th. At that point, maybe there will be another primary, but until then let’s fight Democrats!!!
Bob Bennett surely could learn a thing or two from the Club for Growth. If Ohio republicans are going to win in the next few elections, then they have to start thinking out of the box and start thinking about “growth.” Right now it’s socialism-lite and that’s not getting us anywhere, but helping democrats get elected.
Hey I thought Latta was going to blow out bueher??
Bob will do a nice job and we must help him beat the lib but we need to take a que that votes and tax increases do matter…even when everyone says its ok and we gotta do it or the dems and libs will not like us anymore.
By the way, Scott nice job on Monday. At least you told the truth, you guys were pretty scummy in your attack…

This thread might give us a sense of how post-primary in-fighting can lead someone with 50% DISapproval ratings to victory in the 2008 general…
