2 Conservative Ohio Bloggers Going to Work for the PD?
Bill Sloat, a talented journalist who has a correct point of view 53.4% of the time, reports that Tom from Bizzyblog.com and Dave from Nixguy.com, along with long-winded Jill and Jeff Coryell are all in talks with the Plain Dealer to end up blogging on Cleveland.com.
I have absoutely no problem with Tom and Dave going to work for the Plain Dealer. They are both solid conservatives, excellent writers, and any dollars that the Plain Dealer throws their way is not going to change their independence. And, if a few dollars encourages Tom and Dave to focus even more time on writing and beating up lefty statists, then I’m all for it.
However, do conservative bloggers want to be associated with a liberal Cleveland rag? I could probably be considered a conservative blogger, and if asked to work for them, I’d tell Jean Dubail and company where to shove their liberal bias.
In my short career in Republican politics, I’ve come to see that the Democrat Party and the MSM are usually one in the same, and should be treated as such. And I would never join such an organization which cheers the growth of government, opposes 2nd amendment freedoms, and works diligently to help and embolden our nation’s enemies.
However, I’d love to see Dave and Tom get two cushy union contracts, which may eventually entitle them to two of those handsome buyout packages. They deserve it!

Interesting though, the newspaper turns to bloggers no doubt to add original connect. It says a lot for the bloggers, but not much for the profession of journalism or the newspapers.
Best of luck to Tom and Dave, Jill too.
