Ohio’s Business Tax Climate Improves from 49th to 46th- WOOHOO!
From The Dispatch:
Ohio remains locked in a battle for the bottom in a ranking of states on business-friendly tax policies.
This week, the Washington-based Tax Foundation ranked Ohio 46th in the nonprofit, nonpartisan research organization’s 2008 State Business Tax Climate Index. It created the ranking based on states’ taxes on individuals, property and retail sales.
Ohio trailed bottom-ranked Rhode Island along with New Jersey, New York and California in this year’s rankings. Ohio’s standing at No. 46 was slightly better than last year’s ranking of No. 49. Since the study’s inception in 2003, Ohio always has ranked among the bottom five states.

Gov. Mulligan and the ORP won’t let this slap in the face stand. They’ll get us back to 49 if not 50 ASAP. That’s what 60% of Ohioans voted for, dammit!
