State Sen. Steve Austria to Run for David Hobson’s Seat (OH-7)
I don’t know the first thing about State Senator Steve Austria… and apparently neither does the AP, as they just issued an apology for messing up his name by calling him “David Austria.”

His wife works for Hobson. He’s had eyes on this seat for some time.

This was pretty much expected. Steve shouldn’t have a problem w/this race but might get a little “quid pro quo” resistance from Greene Co. R’s who didn’t like it when he engineered opposition towards other folks in the party. Not sure if it was warranted or not, but it sure created a stink in Dayton.
Having that said, I hope they put that all aside b/c we need that seat and it is frustrating when we do the work for our opponents.
