Is Ohio Secretary of State Brunner Supressing Free Speech?
A number of people have confirmed my suspicions that Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner’s voter file site has been down for a few days, during the busiest time of year.
This is a huge deal for campaigns all over the state, because this is the raw material for direct mail programs, door-to-door efforts, and other data driven campaign projects.

This is the busiest time of the year? Who waits until now to get their voter data? Yes, imagine all those municipal and township races who can’t get their data, unless, of course, they go to the local Board of Elections office.

Not just an partisan hack, she’s an incompetent partisan hack.
Maybe the system crashed due to a virus she picked up posting over at Daily Kos….. Just speculating on the last one.

I had no problem downloading voter file data from the SoS website. Maybe it’s just your connection Matt?
If any of your GOP buddies have trouble downloading, feel free to have them send me an email. I’d be more than happy to supply the GOP with voter files.
