Marc Dann Still in a Tizzy About Facebook & MySpace

From MSNBC:

MySpace, Facebook and other social networking sites are facing increased pressure from state law enforcement officials in the US to introduce controversial age verification technology aimed at rooting out online sexual predators.

The calls for action follow meetings between state attorneys-general and executives from MySpace and its parent company, Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp.

The use of social networking sites by online sexual predators targeting children has become a highly politicised issue.

“There have been discussions at the highest levels over the past two weeks and [they] are still going on right now. People working on this have made it clear, particularly to MySpace, that this [age verification] needs to happen,” said Chris Geidner, counsel to Marc Dann, the Ohio attorney-general.

Chris Geidner? Who is Chris Geidner?

Oh yeah! He once ran a far-left Ohio weblog named Law Dork and was a proud supporter of the radial gay agenda until he gave up that gig in exchange for earning a paycheck from Porter Wright Morris & Arthur. (More of his blog is archived, according to date, here.)

I read Chris’ blog daily, and to apply his type of thinking to this case, the old libertine Chris Geidner would argue that age checks would be a civil rights violation, as social networking sites should be a way for troubled youths to explore their sexuality in perverted, immoral ways. But, compared to other people Marc Dann has hired, I suppose we should atleast be happy that Chris never killed someone or lied about his education.

Also, it is important to note that Chris was an active campaigner on Marc Dann’s campaigns. Would Chris have this special counsel contract if it wasn’t for his campaign activities?
