We knew this was going to get messy. Here is the basic info. Bob Latta is one hell of a nice guy who is honest but a moderate. Steve is also a good guy, but a tough campaigner and good fundraiser. Steve is clearly more conservative.

Every vote that was anti-taxpayer Steve made Bob also made plus a few more. Both are pro-life but Steve also voted against the Chicken pox shot made with abortive tissue.

Yes Steve did work for the BWC, in it personnel department and had nothing to do with investing or Tom Noe. Many years later Steve and Bob took money from Noe as legislators and Republicans. I would guess neither knew he was investing with BWC and thought like every other Republican that Noe was a stand up guy. They were both wrong.

What I want to know is what they think on issues like unionsim, school choice, economics and not mud.

My leaning is to go conservative when all else is the same.

It does indeed look like desperation for Latta to run that gas tax/ Taft-BWC/ Noe ad against Buehrer. His campaign people HAD to know this was coming. I noticed the same information made it into the Blade yesterday as well.

His operatives had no doubt been trying to tout Buehrer’s gas tax vote on this blog in comments too. But Latta voted for it too!!

How much sense does it make for Latta to slam his opponent for casting the same vote he did (gas tax) and for taking money for the same knucklehead (Tom Noe) he did? It only makes sense if his internal poll numbers are telling him he is losing. Why else go negative, especially on something that can be so easily flipped on you?

I just think it is interesting, because Rightangleblog.com is showing Steve Buehrer’s ad when there are brand new ads from Bob Latta which are pretty good too.

    Is there a bias here?

Have you not paid attention since the beginning of this race? Yes, there is a bias and no one has been hiding it. Steve Buehrer is a “True Republican” and a “True Conservative” with “A Record for Fighting for Conservative Values.”

I am as biased against Latta in the same amount as Latta shows contempt for Ohio taxpayers by voting for Taft’s tax increases.

It is good to know that some conservatives can support measures to strengthen small business in Ohio. By doing so the Taft tax, which was referred to as the CAT tax until it was more politically beneficial to tie the tax to the unpopular Taft, has helped small businesses in the whole fifth district.

I must also mention when Mr. Buehrer found it convenient to refer to it as the CAT tax he tore apart his last opponent by once again telling exaggerations. Soon the people of Ohio will find out that there are a LATTA lies, they just happen to be from the Buehrer camp. My mom always told me growing up to be careful what you do because paybacks a B!^ch.

It is clear that you are a supporter of Buehrer. You seem to be made from the same liter. First he prepares to attack Mr. Latta’s wife and then you fully attack my sweet mother. Some times the truth is only told by being honest. Soon I am sure you and Mr. Buehrer will begin to take a page from my mothers book.

I attacked your mother? You are the one who said she used that sort of unsavory language, you ignorant puss.

    I suppose I have won.

    That is all.

I can’t believe a person of your stature who writes on one of the better known blogs in the state would stoop so low to refer to me that way.

    Now look who is ignorant.

I suppose I will let you get a nap so you aren’t so cranky.

My mom always said if I was gonna come home cranky I wasn’t gonna be allowed to stay over night at friends’ houses.

    She is so smart.

I am going to be a big boy now and leave you alone I would hate to be the person who destroys the integrity of this site. Emotional debate is never healthy for anyone’s future.

    One more thought of wisdom:

Growing up I once referred to myself as a pussy in my Spanish two class. I was consequently ordered to apologize to all the women in my class because I referred to their anatomy offensively. I learned my lesson. I can’t believe you the wise blogger would be so unwise with your language choice.

Only Latta or one of his supporters would fabricate an attack on his wife/mother to try to win an argument, because they can’t win on the facts. Matt did not attack your mother, like Latta you’re trying to spin it to sound that way. Read the post under the “Latta’s Wife” thread if you don’t understand what I’m talking about.

  14. Latta is desperate said,

    Wrote on October 14, 2007 @ 11:10 am

Team Latta is getting even more desperate. They’ve spent most of their money and know they are falling behind in the polls so they resort to making things up to win. Latta will do or say anything to get elected. He is a typical politician and his campaign is resorting to politics as usual to win.
