Husted to run for Ohio Senate

From Bill Hershey:

COLUMBUS — With his days in the Ohio House numbered by term limits, Speaker Jon Husted, R-Kettering, today is to formally announce that he’s running for the Ohio Senate in 2008.

“I just feel that there’s so much work left to be done,” Husted, 40, said Thursday. “I want to build on our success and take it to the next level.”

So I suppose there is no need for Strickland to give Jon a goodbye-hug?

What success is he talking about? Attaching the State of Ohio on to the Hell Train called Michigan as it goes down the toilet; is that what he is talking about? The leftward swing of the state toward socialism-lite? Or how about driving the most productive working age group from our State to places like Florida, North and South Carolina by means Ohio Republican policies such as high rates of taxation, over government regulation, and increasing the size of state government. Is that what Husted is talking about? If so Jon, then yes, you have a lot more work to be done; Ohio isn’t quite dead yet.

Exactly. Jon talks a good game, but he is Householder’s chosen one, and he is certainly no anti-tax champion.
